Despite Lauren’s best efforts, we didn’t get bumped to first (or business) class. On the plus side though, South African Airways is a pretty nice airline to fly with. The staff is really friendly, the food is decent (disclaimer: it’s still airline food), but most notable is that the seats actually recline a decent amount.
So far, we couldn’t be happier with our trip!
Well, the trip has certainly started with some interesting events. Somehow, a woman was able to get through security as well as the gate check with a small dog in her purse. In case you are not aware, TSA does not really like when animals are not secured in some sort of carrier. Needless to say, the flight was delayed a few minutes as we waited for a replacement carrier.
Next, just after takeoff, the flight attendants asked over the loud speaker if there was a doctor or nurse on board. All I could think of was the scene in Airplane! where everyone who ate fish started getting sick. Everything turned out to be ok, but they did call the paramedics as soon as we landed.
Starting to wonder what other adventures area waiting for us…
The gummy shark begins to circle their prey, going completely unnoticed.
Well after an evening of getting things figured out, we are finally packed and ready to go. Too bad we still have a full day of work tomorrow. Here’s to hoping it goes quickly!
Lauren and I have just a little over one day until we leave for our honeymoon. Words cannot describe how excited we are, but a music video definitely helps…
